Why Life Groups We believe that the Jesus-following life is best lived out in community. It’s a place to share, encourage, and challenge one another. Simply put, we believe you come to know God more in the context of Christian community rather than alone. What are Life Groups? Life groups are groups of 10 to 12 people who meet together for the purpose of connecting relationally and pursuing spiritual growth together. Because relationships are important to us, we are unapologetic in leaving plenty of time for catching up on life, eating together, and everything in between. After catching up on life, groups discuss the previous week’s sermon – being able to ask questions, share insights, and figure out how to live out what we learned. It’s then followed up with a time of prayer for one another. Where and how often do Life Groups meet? Life Groups typically meet one night a week for the first three weeks of the month. Life Groups break over December and over the summer. Usually Life Groups usually meet in homes, but it is possible for a Life Group to meet anywhere a gathering of people is feasible. There is one group that meets in the church to keep things handicap accessible. What are the requirements to join? You must have a willingness to speak into the lives of others and welcome the input of others into your own life. In addition, it is important that you be prepared to commit to regular attendance. |
